#Surrey365; Day 151. Grooming Whisky the Whiskered Bat.

When he arrived in rehab, Whisky had a considerable parasite burden. So far I’ve removed 19 bat ticks, and a bat flea. They were only tiny, but for such a small creature, the effect on him must have been considerable. He seems to rather like being groomed, being content to sit and let me search through his long fur for any further nasties. Sometimes he keeps up a continuous squeaky chittering while I do it. 😀 I think the fact that he’s a juvenile probably means that it’s not too long since his mother was grooming him, so maybe that’s why he rather likes it.
