#Project365; Day 117. Nasturtium.
I happily let nasturtiums take over a flower bed in the front garden over the last few years; I love their bright, cheerful, sprawling habits. Over the last couple of years, the bright colours of the original flowers have reverted, through the self-seeding process, to some really interesting colours. My favourite is a subtle apricot sort of colour, and last year I saved the seeds from the best ones to grow this year. So far we have some lovely peachy-coloured flowers, as well as some gently creamy yellowish ones. We also have the odd deep blood-red ones, which make a stunning contrast. Here’s an apricot one. 🙂
