Surrey365; Day 77. Beryl on the smoke alarm.
The beautiful Beryl is supposed to be getting in some flying practice every night, getting ready for release. She is, unfortunately, very reluctant. On one evening she flew for just over ten minutes, which is almost what is required to show that she’s ready to go. Most of the time, though, she just flies for a few minutes and then lands. Her previous favourite place was the wood stove surround, as it’s rough plaster and easy to grip. She’s figured out that I grab her as soon as she lands there, though, so now she has a new favourite place; the smoke alarm. It’s easy to grip and she can hang there having a look around and a good scratch. 😀
