Surrey365; Day 28. More bluebells.

This lovely little copse is paradise in spring; bluebells, wood anenomes, celandines and other wild flowers carpet the ground. It’s very quiet, too, so not as blighted by dog mess as a lot of the places I walk sadly are.

  1. It’s a lovely little copse. Classic combination of ash and oak with a coppiced understory of hazel. It’s got streams running through it, so is perpetually damp in places (and muddy in winter) which lets plants like marsh marigold thrive. Such a diversity of life in a little tucked away spot!
