Funny how the buds are more colorful than the blooms….not that the blooms aren’t lovely.
You’re right Steve, and I particularly like that deep red of the buds.
The blooms are like baby orchids and the buds like peppers!
A lovely series. Bird’s foot trefoil is supposed to be a big favourite with the bees but I haven’t noticed a huge activity around it. The hawthorn blossom is beautiful and reminds me of pear blossom with the pink stamens. Amelia
