I love Ullswater, but it wasn’t at its best on this gloomy day. The reds caught my eye though.

During WW2, Ullswater was used to test mini-subs, naval craft and flying boats!
Charles I didn’t know that! That would make sense, as it’s so long and so deep. They fly military jets up it quite often, disturbing the picnickers. 😀
Those lakes are photogenic in most weathers… maybe not driving rain, though. Love these. RH
