A walk at Home Farm

On the same walk at Home Farm in Hampshire (my daughter has been attending a Forest School there run by the excellent Adrian Goodhand) my eye was caught by a few other things too. I nearly caught something else as well on this young Hawthorn (Crateagus) branch. Its highly medicinal flowers, berries and leaves (the best herbal medicine for the heart and circulation) are well protected by those deep red spikes.
