Sunrise and sunset over the Teatro San Carlo

These are also taken from our apartment terrace. The first picture shows the Galleria Umberto I (of which more in the next post) on the left of the picture with the statue sitting atop the main Galleria entrance. The red painted building opposite the statue is the Teatro San Carlo, Italy’s oldest opera house and the oldest working theatre in the world, founded in 1737.

The second picture here is taken the same morning as my last post. I love the way the mist is lying across the water and obscures all of the detail you can see in the first shot, which was taken at sunset.
