Amanita muscaria – the archetypal toadstool.
I almost expect to see fairies snoozing under these lovely mushrooms! 🙂
They were there Kitt, but I woke them up and they ran off… 😉
Definitely my favourite toadstool, it has graced so many beautiful illustrations in childhood books that it has a special place amongst the toadstools.
I agree – it’s the one everyone thinks of when they picture a toadstool, isn’t it! I think it’s special because it’s hallucinogenic too; it gives it a special air of mystery. 🙂
