Water Lily

Last year I deviated a bit from my ‘native plants only’ rule for the pond. Native water lilies are vigorous plants that would be totally unsuitable for our tiny pond, so I bought a very dwarf one. I didn’t really expect it to flower so soon but it did, and we had the pleasure of watching it open and close each day. Beautiful.
